Interest grew and Snappers’ Underwater Photography Inc was formed in March 2012.
We continue to grow – mentoring, learning and sharing, while having fun.
Who knows what each photographer can achieve with their acquired skills, and the group’s support.

March 2024 – SHAPES IN NATURE – definition
March 2024 –
SHAPES IN NATURE – definition as provided by our judge.
The image should show a naturally occurring subject (not something created by humans). It should have a clearly defined shape as its main feature. The shape does not have to be a common geometric shape such as a circle; it could be an irregular shape . The shape may define a single object or be part of a pattern.
The supporting elements in the image should help to focus attention on the shape and emphasise its importance in the image composition.
Images will be evaluated on three basic criteria – prominence of the shape, composition, and technical qualities.

January 2024 Competition – Definition for Environment and Conservation
Must be underwater images. Image story should encourage an understanding of, and, preservation of the marine environment.
Photos that inspire a feeling to protect and care for our oceans, lakes, rivers, or any natural underwater environments.
Images can be of environmental tragedy or heroic scenes of environmental protection.
Good luck everyone, the image story will be critical supported by strong photographic presentation.
